1-Day Snorkelling Experience
Spend a day exploring the stunning coral reefs on this Similan Islands snorkelling experience. The Similan Islands is an archipelago, renowned for its extensive reefs and opportunities to see diverse marine life and is home to some of the top dive spots in the world. It can get busy, so we set off early and use knowledgeable guides to avoid the crowds and in high season we may also switch to the Surin islands.
You will be picked up at about 6.30am and in order to avoid any hectic rush at the port of Thap Lamu, you depart from a private pier. There you will be served a light breakfast and given a short safety briefing as well as tips on how to behave whilst offshore and when visiting a marine National Park.
The speed boat will whisk you to the islands in approximately 90 minutes. (Just in case, pills to prevent sea sickness (Dimenhydrinate 50mg) are provided). The first stop is Donald Duck Bay for your first taste of the unique Similan Islands scenery. You will have time to relax at the beach or get yourself familiar with your snorkelling equipment in the clear and turquoise waters.
Feel free to join your guide on the adventurous trek to a stunning view point to see the true beauty of the area from up high. Then continue the tour to the first snorkel stop where water temperatures around 30˚C and underwater visibility around 20m makes the sea very inviting. The tour guides and boat staff have an intimate knowledge about the nine islands and will choose the best snorkelling place of the day, with as few other tourists as possible.
Enjoy a tasty Thai lunch at one of the beautiful sandy beaches, listening to the sound of the waves, followed by free time to explore the island or simply relax, before boarding the speedboat again to cruise to another great snorkel stop. At 3.30pm, the tour finishes and you will sail back to the pier where a minibus awaits to take you back to your hotel.
