Day to Day Itinerary
Day 2: Dive into Bangkok’s rich culture with a guided tour of iconic sites. Begin at Wat Po, home to a massive reclining Buddha and a school of traditional Thai massage. Witness monks’ morning chants before visiting the Grand Palace, a masterpiece of Thai architecture, including the revered Temple of the Emerald Buddha. After lunch, board a long-tail boat to explore the Thonburi canals and visit Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn. Conclude with a walking tour of Chinatown, uncovering hidden markets, Taoist temples, and authentic street life. (B/L) Day 3: Fly to Chiang Mai, known as the “Rose of the North.” Check in and enjoy free time to explore this charming city. In the evening, embark on a street food adventure through the South Gate, sampling dishes like pad Thai, coconut pudding, and mango sticky rice, with your guide sharing insights into local culinary delights. (B/D) Day 4: Visit the Chang Chill Elephant Sanctuary to learn about their “no-touch” conservation philosophy. Observe the elephants in their natural habitat, prepare their food, and learn about the surrounding Karen community’s weaving traditions and herbal medicine practices. Return to your hotel by evening, with free time to explore the lively Night Market. (B/L) Day 5: Gear up for a thrilling day starting with white-water rafting on the Mae Tang River, navigating exciting rapids with expert guidance. After lunch, take to the treetops on a zipline course featuring 22 lines and sky bridges. Options include a kilometre-long zipline or a rollercoaster-style ride. Return to Chiang Mai in the afternoon for a relaxing evening. (B/L) Day 8: Journey to Cheow Lan Lake, stopping for a hike through a pristine valley and lunch with the local community before boarding a longtail boat to your floating raft house.
