1-Day Snorkelling Experience

Spend a day exploring the stunning coral reefs on this Similan Islands snorkelling experience. The Similan Islands is an archipelago, renowned for its extensive reefs and opportunities to see diverse marine life and is home to some of the top dive spots in the world. It can get busy, so we set off early and use knowledgeable guides to avoid the crowds and in high season we may also switch to the Surin islands.

Enjoy a full day snorkelling trip around the famous Similan Islands (join-in speedboat tour max. 35 people, upgrade to private tour upon request). The tour will begin between 05:30 - 07:00, depending on location, with a join in transfer to the local pier. On arrival, you’ll be given an introduction to the area you’ll be visiting along with a briefing on safety and eco-friendly practices when snorkelling.

The Similan Islands are a protected marine national park of 12,000 hectares in the middle of the Andaman Sea, including 9 islands made of granite, giving them a rare natural beauty with unique formations. They are famous for 30 stunning diving and snorkelling spots with walls of corals, myriad sponges, thousands of fish and stunning colours. Many beautiful spots are found in shallow waters, which can easily be discovered with a simple mask and snorkel - for sea lovers, this is the spot for you!

The speedboat ride to the islands takes approximately 90 minutes. Your first stop is Donald Duck Bay, where you can relax on the beach, take in the iconic scenery, or familiarise yourself with your snorkelling gear in crystal-clear waters. For those seeking a bit of adventure, join your guide on a short trek to a viewpoint that showcases the natural splendour of the area. Relax on the beach for a while then hop back on the boat and head to the two snorkelling spots where warm water and up to 20m visibility invite you to explore the vibrant marine life and coral. With expert guides choosing the best sites to avoid crowds, you’ll experience the best of the islands' underwater treasures.

After all that walking and swimming you’ll have worked up a hunger so break for a delicious Thai lunch served on a serene sandy beach, with time to relax or explore the island afterwards. Mid afternoon, you’ll sail back to the pier arriving approximately 16:30 - 17:30 and transfer by van on to your hotel, refreshed and inspired by this unforgettable marine adventure.
